Land Surveyor
Idaho Survey Group is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to work in our Boise, Idaho office. Our primary areas of survey practice include land development, boundary, and construction surveys. This position will work under the direction of a senior PLS. Candidates must have strong math, communication and organizational skills; be a team player; be physically fit with a willingness/enthusiasm to work outdoors, as well as in a professional office environment on a wide variety of projects. This position may require overtime and work outdoors in adverse conditions, as needed.
Job Duties
- Communicate with the client and project team to understand the goals, challenges, schedule, budget, and expectations of project
- Conduct research to obtain the appropriate public/ private land records, survey control data, and other pertinent information from various sources for boundaries, location, topographical and design surveys, location of right of way, and utility locations
- Request information from title companies, highway departments, municipalities, etc. that relate to property being surveyed and adding information to CAD drawing
- Preparation of Construction, Subdivision, ALTA, Boundary, Topographic, and Special Surveys, Legal Descriptions and Surveying Exhibits to fit client needs
- Put together field packets for field work, check and breakdown field notes and coordinate information & questions with field crew and project manager
- Manage CAD generated surface models and generate accurate contours, cross sections and profile drawings for engineering design.
- Perform field work as needed
- Mentor other survey staff members
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- College degree in civil engineering, construction management, surveying and geomatics or BS in a related science and at least 24 semester hours of land surveying approved courses per 225 ILCS 330/13
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 or higher
- Ability read and understand Architectural, Structural and Engineering Site Plans
- 1-3 years experience
- Must communicate well with clients, other professionals (architects, engineers, landscape architects, site supervisors), accommodate client needs and create work orders to complete field work
- Valid driving license and driving record acceptable to our Company insurance provider

Role Description
Idaho Survey Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Office Technician to join our Survey Department in Boise, Idaho. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
The Office Technician will provide essential support for a wide range of surveying projects, including land development, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Working closely with Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) and field crews, this role will assist with data processing, project coordination, document preparation, and quality control to ensure the successful execution of survey projects.
This position offers a unique combination of office-based technical responsibilities and occasional field support, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy both analytical work and hands-on involvement in surveying operations.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients and internal project teams to understand project goals, schedules, budgets, and expectations.
Survey Research:
- Gather and analyze public and private land records, survey control data, and other essential information for boundary, topographic, and design surveys.
Project Management:
- Maintain and organize project data, including survey control, design plans, CAD drawings, and staking calculations.
Survey Calculations:
- Perform calculations such as slope percentages, angles, bearings, azimuths, coordinates, traverses, differential leveling, quantities, alignments, profiles, and surface modeling.
Construction Stakeout:
- Assist in establishing construction stakeout points for infrastructure elements such as curbs, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systems.
Field Crew Direction:
- Provide direction and support to field survey crews to ensure efficient and accurate operations.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Office Technician or Survey Crew Assistant, and field crew leadership is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; experience with GPS/RTK systems, robotic total stations, and survey software.
- Must be able to read and interpret construction plans.
- Experience operating survey equipment such as robotic total stations, GPS systems, data collectors, and automatic levels.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work outdoors when needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles.

$30 – $40 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.

Idaho Survey Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to work as out of our Boise office. Our primary areas of survey practice include land development, boundary and construction surveys. This position will work under the direction of a PLS. This position may require overtime and work outdoors in adverse conditions.
Job Duties
- Ability to operate survey equipment including but not limited to robotic total stations, GPS survey equipment, data collectors and automatic level. Minimum 5 years experience.
- Prepare, verify and communicate field notes, sketches, checklists and digital data in required formats for Project Managers, Land Surveyors and Drafting personnel
- Perform field data collection and corner staking, boundary and easement surveys, topographic mapping, plat and condo documents, and construction staking
- Work with field and office personnel, both as a team member and independently, to produce topographic surveys, record of surveys, ALTA surveys, boundary line adjustments, easement exhibits and any document required for project completion
- Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy
Qualifications
- A current driver’s license in good standing & ability to operate company owned vehicles
- 8 years minimum field surveying experience in land development and construction projects

- Possess field experience in all types of physical land surveying including, boundary, topographic and construction staking

Role Description
Idaho Survey Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company by managing invoices, collections, payment processing, and customer account reconciliation. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer service focused, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and other staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute accurate client invoices based on project billing information.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances in a professional and timely manner.
- Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation within accounting software systems.
- Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payment status, and account inquiries.
- Coordinate with project managers and administrative staff to ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicing.
- Prepare Accounts Receivable reports and assist with month-end financial processes.

This role provides critical administrative and project coordination support to the Senior Land Surveying Project Manager. This position is responsible for scheduling projects and field crews, coordinating bid requests and proposal deadlines, setting up new projects, maintaining project records, and tracking project progress from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate land surveying projects with clients, field crews, subcontractors and project managers.
- Maintain and update project schedules, calendars, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project timelines and communicate scheduling changes to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Project Manager and office staff to ensure proper field crew assignments and ensure projects are properly staffed.
Bid and Proposal Administration:
- Schedule bid deadlines, proposal submissions, and project interviews.
